Congratulations to our second class of Cobb STEM Distinguished Educators!
"Being new to teaching STEM-specific classes, I was nervous about being able to create and deliver quality, challenging STEM-worthy lessons and experiences for my students. While I love the creative process of developing new lessons, I was a little unsure of where to begin. When I learned about the framework for the Cobb Distinguished STEM Educator Award I knew I found my starting point. I began to brainstorm how I could meet each criteria and pretty soon, I not only met most of the standards, but I had 2 or 3 lessons or ideas for some of them! It is rewarding to have achieved such a high level of recognition for participating in the program, but I am also immensely thankful that it gave me a springboard to help my students achieve great things through their STEM experiences as well."
