Must attend BOTH sessions Tuesday, 6/18/19 (9:00-3:00) Wednesday, 6/19/19 (9:00-3:00) This workshop provides training for educators in Project Learning Tree, Project Wild and Project Wet.These are national programs that enhance your teaching skills and comfort teaching outdoors – in urban, suburban, or rural environments. Lessons are multi-disciplinary, hands-on and aligned with state standards. Put the materials to use right away in your own classroom, playground, or nature center!

Offered two different times (choose one): Tuesday, 6/18/19 10:00-10:50 AM 11:00-11:50 AM In this hands-on session, we will experiment with Makey Makey circuit kits. Learn how to use a Makey Makey, explore the web-based apps that allow you to interact with your Makey Makey, and learn lesson ideas and strategies to implement Makey Makey kits with your students. 5th grade electricity standards fit best with Makey Makeys, but session will explore other ways to use Makey Makey kits with younger students as well. Best for students in grades 3+. Attend this session and leave with your very own FREE Makey Makey kit!

Are you wondering how you use drones with students in your classroom? Interested in starting a drone club or a drone team? Or do you just want to learn more about how drones can be used in an educational capacity? This session will dive into drone basics, including future STEM/STEAM-based drone careers, rules to know before you fly, and simulator and drone flight practice. Session attendees will receive their very own FREE Parrot Mambo drone to take back to their classroom!
