How were these STEM Lessons Designed?
Teams of Cobb teachers met to design introductory STEM & STEAM lessons* for classroom teachers. These lessons were specially crafted to:
1. Align to CCSD pacing guides for Science. 2. Integrate ELA, Science, Math, the Arts, and Social Studies. 3. Be smaller/shorter in scope. 4. Designed to be "chunked" into 30-45 min segments. 5. Require minimal or open ended materials lists. 6. Utilize the engineering design process. *Lessons have been updated to reflect the new math standards for 2023-2024. DOE Sample STEM Focused PBL resources are also shared from GA DOE STEM Certified Schools. |
