STEM TLA Cohorts

​The STEM TLA Cohort members from schools across the district and all levels.  STEM Teacher Leaders teach everything from Kindergarten, AP Physics C, Algebra II, 6th grade Math, and STEM Lab.  STEM TLA Cohort members have the opportunity to dig into STEM specific learning opportunities designed to support them as they collaborate to integrate STEM strategies in their classrooms and schools.  We also spend a great deal of time cultivating a STEM Professional Learning Network.  It is important for educators to have a lot of other educators they can go to for ideas, strategies and support.   

Cobb started the Teacher Leader Academy program in 2015.  In 2016 STEM Cobb had their first cohort of STEM Teacher Leaders.  The CTLA program focuses on building teacher leadership capacity through innovative learning experiences, networking opportunities and expanded in-field experiences.  There are cohorts for all content areas from Special Education, to Fine Arts, to ELA to STEM.  

​The applications to participate in Teacher Leader Academy come out in the early Spring each year.  We'd love to have you participate in the STEM Cohort or any of the other fabulous cohorts.
