Join game-based learning trailblazers and navigate the checkpoints of integrating curriculum-aligned games into your classroom!

The Georgia Game-Based Learning Professional Development Session brings together gaming professionals, district administration, and classroom teachers to network, learn, and discuss the future of gaming education.

By sharing industry trends, emerging technologies, best practices, research, case studies, and implementation strategies, the Georgia Game-Based Learning Professional Development Session will empower teachers and administrators to confidently integrate game-based learning into their classrooms.

Agenda
8:30 am to 9:30 am: Coffee, Registration, and Networking
9:30 am to 10:30 am: General Session
10:30 am to 11:30 am: Breakout Sessions
11:30 am to 12:30 pm: Lunch (with special guest appearance!)
12:30 pm to 1:30 pm: Design Challenge
1:30 pm to 2:00 pm: Closing Thoughts (with prizes!)

The Conrad Challenge is an annual, virtual, innovation and entrepreneurial competition that encourages participants (young adults, ages 13-18) to change the world. Each year, teams of 2-5 students from around the world create products and/or services that address some of the most pressing global challenges. You are able to take direct control of your learning experience extending well beyond the bounds of the school day. Leave the title of “student” and become entrepreneurial problem-solvers, addressing social, scientific and societal issues through creativity and critical thinking. Click here for website.

Science Talent Search Application Open: 12th graders

Applications for the Regeneron Science Talent Search (Regeneron STS), a program of the Society for Science & the Public, are open now through November 13, 2019! Regeneron STS is the nation’s most prestigious science research competition for high school seniors, providing a national stage for the country's best and brightest young scientists to present original research to nationally recognized professional scientists. Students who enter Regeneron STS can look forward to exciting awards and experiences, with prizes up to $250,000. The top 300 scholars and 40 finalists will be announced in January 2020.
