MathCounts Competition Series Information
The MATHCOUNTS Competition Series is a national program that provides students the opportunity to compete in live, in-person contests against and alongside their peers. It is open to all sixth-, seventh-, and eighth-grade students.
Educators who register their school for this program receive a School Competition Kit, which includes the 2016-2017 MATHCOUNTS School Handbook, as well as awards for students. You also receive online access to numerous math resources.
The Competition Series has 4 levels of competition – school, chapter, state, and national. Each level of competition is comprised of 4 rounds – Sprint, Target, Team and Countdown Round.
Visit www.mathcounts.org/coaches for more information.

MathCounts Problem of the Week Information

Each week MATHCOUNTS releases a multi-step problem related to a current event, holiday, or season. The Problem of the Week is a great way to start math class or a team practice. Students can work on one part of the problem or the entire set. Best of all, the solutions for each problem set are released the following week. All can be downloaded for free at www.mathcounts.org/potw.

MathCounts National Math Club Information
The National Math Club is a national program that gives students the opportunity to engage in mathematics that is non-competitive, fun and different from “textbook math.” The program is completely free. Students can participate through their school or through a non-school group.
Educators who register for this program receive a Club in a Box kit, which included activity ideas, hand-on materials and student prizes…all for free! You also receive online access to even more math resources and content exclusively for club leaders.
Visit www.mathcounts.org/clubleaders for more information.

Good luck to all students who'll join this contest. Mathematics has never been an easy subject, but I know these students will definitely do their best. I just want to congratulate them in advance because it is a good opportunity to join this kind of competition. Kids, just remember that it does not matter whether you win or lose, what's important is you'll give your best shot. God bless to all participants!
